Jazz Dance Classes

A very popular and energetic dance style with a variety of music used, including Broadway, Musical Theatre, R & B, Funky and up to the minute music depending on age level of class. A Jazz class starts with warm ups, moving into stretches including floor stretch then move on to progressions across the floor such as turns and kicks, finishing off with a fun dance routine which continues each week building up to a full dance piece which can be performed at our mid year cabaret or end of year production.

Levels are available for different abilities offering Beginner classes for those who have never danced or only danced a little, through to Advanced who have been dancing for a while and want to be challenged with a good workout and great fun dancing.

Jazz Exams are also available under the Arts Theatre of Dance Syllabus offering students a graded system whereby through structured levels and repetition of work, students are able to progress systematically and build strength and competence in their dance ability.

Children and Adult Classes available with our children classes concentrating on development of the child to become the best that they can be whilst our adult classes emphasise fitness, fun and friendship.
