Miriam is available for Life, Lifestyle and/or Weight Management coaching and education. This service is available face-to-face, over the telephone and/or via Skype. Webinars for group sessions will be available in the future.
She has various qualifications (BBus (Hons) (1994), Vicfit (1996), Trager, PDC (2003)) and broad life experience. Miriam lived overseas for a year, working for several months, after completing HSC. As a result of her own life challenges, Miriam undertook various courses, read and enquired widely on health and lifestyle issues. She has fostered strong ongoing relationships with various alternative health experts to support her self-directed learning and development and also to enable recommendations for clients if need arises.
What can clients expect?
Miriam's coaching takes a wholistic approach.
She looks at all aspects of your lifestyle in order to best tailor recommendations to suit you and your needs. Miriam DOES NOT use a "one size fits all" approach - consultations and advice is tailored to each individual. However, Miriam does start with one set of foundation guidelines (eg. a preferred minimum amount of exercise, 60/40 diet - with minmal allowance for processed foods, reduce your chemical load in all areas, having short term, medium term and long term goals written down and placed somewhere highly visible to you). A questionaire is provided and you are asked to complete and return it before your first session so that Miriam has an idea about you and your needs before she starts working with you. This saves you time and money.
If you wish to focus mostly on one or two aspects of lifestyle, eg. weight control, that is fine. Just keep in mind that, that does not mean that you should ignore the bigger picture. Different approaches to diet work for different people. It is important to let Miriam know what you have tried and how it worked. Stress also has a big infleunce. So, you may need to re-try something you feel has not worked for you in the past.
